Rainbow Pom Hat Benefitting the Alberta Children's Hospital

A Message from Melanie Domski:

"When I first heard about Heather Roy’s daughter Evelyn, and her struggle with stage 4 cancer, I was devastated. She was the exact same age as my oldest daughter, both being born in late 2008. How could this happen to a young healthy child? I cried a lot as I followed along with Heather’s stories and the obvious struggle her sweet little daughter was facing. When Evelyn tragically passed away in 2020 at the young age of 11, I knew I had to do something to not only honour this amazing little girl, but also to give back to my community and the other parents who were going through this similar tragedy. 

The first time I went to Heather’s house there was a huge rainbow painted on her front window and the idea came to me! Let’s custom make some fabulous Rainbow Pom Hats that Evelyn herself would have loved. Her bedroom was painted teal, her glasses were teal, so of course, I picked the brightest teal dye for the cotton knit that my manufacturer could make. The rainbow thread colours were also individually chosen for that perfect pretty rainbow. As always, our rainbow pom poms are individually hand dyed and worked perfectly with this hat design."

ALL of the proceeds from this hat will be going to The Alberta Children’s Hospital to help sick children like Evelyn get the best care possible.
